সত্যজিৎ রায়ের ‘পথের পাঁচালি’-তে সর্বজয়ার পরনে দেখা যায় লাল-সাদা কুঞ্জলতা পাড়ের ঠিক এরকম একটি শাড়ি। শ্যাম বিশ্বাসের উদ্যোগে ১০০ শতাংশ সুতির, ৯২X৯২ কাউন্টের এই হ্যান্ডলুম শাড়িটির পুনর্জন্ম হয়েছে। ‘কুঞ্জলতা’ এমনই এক মোটিফের শাড়ি, যা অপরাজেয় কোমলতার প্রতীক। বুনেছেন বাংলার তাঁতিরা।
Inspired by a saree worn by the character Sarvajaya, in Satyajit Ray's acclaimed film ‘Pather Panchali’, this pure cotton (100%), 92X92 count handloom saree with a gorgeous red and white Kunjalata border has been brought to life by designer Shyam Biswas. Handwoven by the skilled artisans of West Bengal, this saree with 'Kunjalata' motifs is a symbol of a bygone era.
